A project for my firm, Haenglim Architecture & Engineering, for the design commission of the Jinju Innovation multipurpose cultural library at 184 Chungmugong-dong (west of the parking lot site), Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do. Spanning a 7,875 m² site and 13,668.04 m² of total floor area, with 1 basement level and 4 stories above ground (maximum height 25.7 m), the building combined programs requiring specialized systems, including a library, a swimming pool, and a performance hall.

I handled facade design and exterior wall design, and worked through reviewing and coordinating the interior spaces against requirements for evacuation, barrier-free (BF) accessibility, and specialized building systems.

Because the mixed-use program necessarily interlinked several specialized systems — library, swimming pool, and performance hall — I paid particular attention to contacting specialist subcontractors and managing cost estimates throughout the project.
